The active ingredient of Duromine is phentermine. Phentermine acts on the part of the brain which recognizes your appetite. If your brain does not recognize appetite you will not feel the hunger. Thus you will not have the desire to eat. When you eat less, naturally you will lose weight. In Duromine, phentermine it mixed with a resin. The mixture releases phentermine only very slowly. So the effect of the capsule on the brain remains for a considerable time, say 12 hours or 24 hours. Duromine is a very effective medicine for weight reduction. The intake of Duromine must be combined with proper exercise. Dieting and a change in life style as suggested by the doctor will make the medicine more effective. In 1969 Food and Drug Administration has given its approval for phentermine. Since 1970 it is being manufactured and marketed. So far it has been a very successful medicine.
How to use
Duromine dosage will be determined by the doctor. He has to take into consideration several aspects of your body before deciding on the dosage. The patient should strictly follow the instructions of the doctor. The normal dosage is one or to capsules a day. But make sure that the number and timing given by the doctor must be strictly adhered to. For a normal person without any other medical problems there are no known side effects. Pregnant people and those who intend to be pregnant soon are not given this medicine.
Those with high blood pressure, heart valve problem, severe heart disease and diabetes are not given this medicine. When you are prescribed Duramine, inform the doctor of the medicines you are taking. He must be told of all the medicines you are taking regularly and those you have taken during the past fortnight.
Duromine must be swallowed as it is. Never chew it. Take plenty of water with it. Normally the doctor prescribes to take it along with breakfast. Everyday it must be taken at the same time for the best results. Duromine is not given to children under 12 and old people. Sleep will be affected for sometime after taking Duromine.
That is why it is recommended for the morning. If you forget to take it in the morning take it at lunch. If it is forgotten again for lunch skip the medicine for that day. If taken at noon it may affect your sleep at night at least for sometime.
